Having an eye for art is a mysterious gift, I’ve been told.  Possessing this gift is what distinguishes me from most art galleries.  I want to offer clients the perfection that speaks solely to them through their trust in me as their confidant and advisor.  Finding perfection is more than just finding a decorative piece, or an impulse purchase which later surfaces with regret in a closet.  It is the thrill and passionate pursuit of perfect art- the pride of ownership in a lasting treasure.

 

My first oil painting was given to me, when I was eight years old.  Art and music were as familiar to my growing up as the wine glass next to the water glass.   When I moved to the east coast for college, I traveled abroad during summer vacation and there my art books suddenly came to life.   I felt a passion both for the art and for the artists who created it.  Later, that passion and my gift would translate into loyal customers.

 

The foundation was paved for my building a career in fine art from having earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts from Harvard University;   my concentrations were in English and American Literature and Art History.   After studying Interior Design at Boston Architectural Center and graduating from Northeast Broadcasting School, I returned to my native state, California, to pursue my career.  

 

For the past decade, I have learned the “business of art” as a successful Director of three contemporary galleries in a world - class resort.  However, to acquire and retain the level of artists I desired, I knew I had to curate with complete control.  The answer was to become a private dealer.  In my art career repertoire, I had built an art gallery in a competitive arena, one that still exists today.  I gained respect from repeat clients that knew of my reputation and eye for exceptional work.  Clients continue to depend on my educated eye for their investments and trust my intrinsic taste for the timeless work, adding to the quality of their lives.  I am not interested as much in moving inventory as much as providing long-term buying relationships in the continued quest for perfect pieces.
